Part 744 of the EAR provides specific restrictions related to end-user and end-use controls. Certain individuals and organizations are prohibited from receiving U.S. goods, and others may only receive goods under an export license. For example, if you know or have reason to know your item would support a proliferation activity, such as nuclear, chemical, biological, or missile proliferation activity in a country of concern, a license would be required. The Consolidated Screening List is a searchable database that includes proscribed parties from the Departments of Commerce, State and Treasury.

A license exception is an authorization that allows you to export, reexport or transfer (in-country) under stated conditions, items subject to the EAR that would otherwise require a license based on the ECCN and destination.

The bank may issue a LC based on the credibility of the Buyer. Buyer will need to place a Letter of Credit margin deposit of approximately 110% to 130% with the bank. The LC margin deposit percentage will be dependent on the Trade Incoterms that you are applying.

A Blank Back Bill of Lading, also known as Short Form Bill of Lading, is a type of transport document that does not include the terms and conditions of the shipment (contract of carriage) on the back side. Short form bills of lading are not in high demand. Especially under the letters of credit payments, issuing banks generally demand long form bills of lading, by simply prohibiting presentation of short form bills of lading.

Export Quota is a restriction imposed by a government on the amount or number of goods or services that may be exported within a given period, usually with the intent of keeping prices of those goods or services low for domestic users.
