FCL is the abbreviation for “Full Container Load”. The exporter is responsible for securely packing the entire container and then sealing it so it is ready for pickup. The container is then transported, remaining sealed throughout the journey via sea. The goods will only be opened prior to delivery if required for inspection purposes.

EIC is the official certification body of the Government of India. Generalized system of preferences referred to as GSP, the developed countries to developing countries exports of finished and semi finished products (including some primary products) in general, non-discriminatory, non-reciprocal tariff preferences of a system.

Under the GSP (Generalized System of Preferences) program or the preferential tariff treatment, a free or reduced duty is granted by developed countries to certain manufactured goods from the least developed countries, in order to bolster their exports and economic growth.

A license holder should obtain a Customs Business Code. An appropriate declaration should be submitted using the business code for customs clearance. In the case of Free Zone company, an appropriate customs declaration should be processed for sale of goods to mainland.

Some goods require special approval from restricted authorities, so these approvals must be issued for the goods to be released, and the approvals must be submitted along with the other required documents to the customs authorities to complete the customs clearance.
